Half year birthday!

Today Owen turns 6 months old!  Time sure flies when you’re having fun!

This is him earlier this morning with his wee pressie we got him to mark the occassion.

For lunch he had his first taste of meat, although the initial reaction doesn’t look too great he did actually seem to enjoy it.  There certainly wasn’t any left!

Then this evening we had a visit from Bryan’s Dad who is convinced Owen’s first words should be “Sky HD” or “Man U” and thinks he should be eating chocolate by now - ah, grandparents!!

Last night I finally made up the Lego kit I had bought as a treat to do when I was in labour!  It sat with the hospital bag for weeks and weeks but as Owen had to be encouraged to come out it was never called upon to distract me.  So when I went to bed last night, thinking about the same night 6 months before, it seemed like a good time to construct it.

This week has been a good one in general - we were at the hip specialist on Wednesday and got the all clear which is a huge relief.  Also Owen was at the health visitor and got weighed and is now up to 19 lbs 11 (8.94kg) - don’t think it will be long before he’s into the 9-12 month sized clothes!!  Add to all that the fact that Bryan is having a long weekend from work so we’re getting some quality family time and you have a happy me!  Hope all is good with you too!
