Went to see Sleuth at the theatre tonight, it was fab and brill. Then we went to “meet the cast” and I met Michael Praed!! *slobber* Simon MacCorkindale was good too and the play was fab, really enjoyed it. Picture is, left to right, Raiya, Evelyn, Michael and me.

I really should blog my trip away at some point but I’ve been a busy bee since I got back! Last night I was at the theatre in my role as reviewer and tonight I’ve been waitressing at a wedding at Haddo House which was nice. The night before I was at a networking event learning about Wildhearts, a charity which sells stationery and uses all the profits to help people in the developing world to set up their own businesses. Very interesting.
I should also mention that my work now has a website, much of which I wrote and most of the photos were taken by me too. I was very excited to be able to announce it to our members the day before I flew to France, and I’ve had some good feedback already which is lovely!
Anyway tis way past my bedtime so will shut up now and go sleeps!

That’s me back from my travels - Friday to Tuesday staying in a villa in the south of France with some friends/solicitors and then Wednesday to Saturday at a conference in Dublin followed by a night out on the town!
All most fab but not enough sleep for any night so feeling the effects! Full blog will follow once I’ve had time to catch up with laundry etc, and spend some time with my hubby more importantly, that’s the longest we’ve been apart since before we were married!!
Hope all is well in everyone else’s world?!

Sad but true, I won’t be online from the evening of Thursday 5th June until at least the afternoon of Sunday 15th June. This is because I’m going on holiday to the South of France for a long weekend and then skipping from there to Dublin for a law librarian’s conference. So you will have to live without my exciting posts for a wee while! And no, there is no use working out where I live and trying to rob the place as my hubby and the guard cats will still be there.
Talking of whom they just got another “award” on Flickr - woohoo! Scroll down to second place.
Over and out for now folks!

Ok so Bryan’s playing XBox and I’m bored - well I just filled in a car insurance quote and we all know how dull that is! Going to save tons of money with downsizing car though - hurrah! So I thought I’d look through some of my old documents and see if I could delete any. Instead I found some of my poetry from a few years ago and thought I would share. I have a lovely friend, a farmer, who I met at a party and now he texts me pictures of animals from his farm now and then..
..so this one’s dedicated to him!
Piggy-Love
A pig
Fat, filthy and furious
Snorts his way across his sty.
“Sorry dinner’s late - car broke down.”
“Snort” says pig “snort snort”
Greedily he thrusts his nose
Deep into the kitchen scraps,
Snorting in ecstasy.
I watch as he grabs at potato peelings,
Brussel sprouts and other rubbish,
Savouring it as if it were caviar.
A pig
Fat, filthy and full-up
Sits back on his haunches.
I cautiously enter the sty
“Snort” says pig “snort snort”
Hawk-like his beady eyes follow me
As I crouch next to him in the muck
And start scratching his back.
His eyes close as he wrinkles his nose and
Savours my attention
As if I were a trained masseur.
A pig
Fat, filthy and friendly
Lies with his head on my lap
Gazing deep into my eyes
“Snort” says pig “snort snort.”

Ooooh, what joys have been captivating me since my last blog entry?!
Well Thursday night was a work Social Event. It is my job to attend these, yes I do have a hard life, it’s a shame. This one was to visit Glover House and have a very interesting and educational tour. Thomas Glover was from Fraserburgh but helped Japan with its development, starting the Mitsubishi company and introducing the first railway. The house was bought for his parents and has some fab stuff in it!
Friday’s excitement happened once I finished work - I phoned a man about a car we’d seen for sale online, and I think we’re buying one! Woohoo! More details once it’s confirmed but if anyone wants to buy an S type Jag please get in touch!
Saturday was spent cleaning said car and taking photos before any of the local seagulls did what they do best. Nuff said! The evening saw us visiting Ray and Nicole with our friend Lydia for a very yummy and filling dinner! We actually had to go for a walk round the block to try and keep us all awake as we went into a post food slump! Was my favourite - spagetti bolonaise, followed by a chocolate volcano pudding and custard. YUM!!! I do love food!
Aujourd’hui Lydia, Raiya and I zoomed to Edinburgh in Lyd’s wee Mini and went to the Vodafone TBA concert in the Gardens. We saw the Sugababes, Hoosiers and The Feeling. In that order of appearance and greatness of performance! And here’s the pictures in order too!
And if you wonder where the “wetness” in the title came from - it started raining after the Sugababes and continued right though so various items of clothing were soaked right through by the end. Just glad we had been sensible older people and taken waterproof jackets! Boring but sensible folks, it doesn’t hurt!!
