Saturday with me pal

Well I’ve had a fun weekend with me pal from Edinburgh up staying.  We were really lucky with the weather so were able to do outside activities, which makes a nice change in Aberdeen!!

Firstly we went to Hazelhead Park and it’s lovely pet corner.  We stiffled a giggle at some children who were looking in one of the cages and one of them said it was a hamster and then the little boy corrected her to say it was, obviously, a badger.  We didn’t quite agree.

It’s a ferret…?!

We went into the aquarium and decided on the fish we’d least like to have as a pet, bless him!

Brain fish, or whatever!

We then met a gorgeous wee gecko who obviously loves cameras and came forward specially for me

We also watched a wee guy having dinner but he took a wee moment out to pose for me as well:

After harassing a few more beasties, we decided to leave them all alone and moved onto the park itself.  Obviously the beginning of March isn’t the best time to go and admire plant life and there wasn’t much in flower or all that attractive!

So somehow the play park was the most attractive thing and we were strangely drawn to the swings and things!

I prefered the wee digger thing which was probably made for Bob the Builder fans, little boys.  It was surprizingly fun though, and surprizingly my very grown up bum fitted in it too!!

Welcome to my world

Well I’ve been trying to be “with it” and had started blogging on my bebo page.  However my lovely pet IT geek (otherwise known as husband) told me it was easy to add a blog to my website so I thought, why not?!  So here you go, I’m blogging and you can read it if you want to!!  I’m not sure that I do anything totally thrilling, or say anything really profound but it would seem that neither is necessary to be worthy of a blog space on the wondrous interweb so I’m having a go anyway!  You’ll have to bear with me whilst I get my head round what I’m doing with it though.  I will also apologise now for my overuse of exclamation marks - I find it hard to end a sentence without one, as I’m sure you’ll notice if you stick around!
